At caSAnosa, it’s exactly the opposite.
As the hours go by, this space eventually becomes the place where everyone gathers: outdoor breakfasts, family lunches, long after-dinner chats, dinners with friends, and conversations that stretch well into the night.
With more than 40 m² of covered space, the barbecue area is designed to let you enjoy the outdoors any time of year, even when the weather changes—which is common in Galicia.
A space designed for sharing
Everything is set up to make cooking and enjoying a delicious barbecue a comfortable experience.
You’ll find a spacious grill, a sink, kitchen cabinets, cooking utensils, and a large table where you can gather without worrying about space.
After eating, the sofas invite you to relax while listening to the water from the garden fountains or simply enjoying the tranquility of the surroundings.
Much more than just a barbecue
One of the things our guests appreciate most is that this space functions as a true outdoor dining area.
You don’t have to keep going in and out of the house, since it has a separate bathroom—very convenient for freshening up after the beach or during an outdoor meal.
You’ll also find an outdoor laundry area, which is especially useful for cleaning wetsuits and sports gear or preparing the fresh fish you bought in Cee before grilling it.
A place to relax
In front of the barbecue is a small ornamental fountain that creates a particularly peaceful atmosphere.
Inspired by Japanese gardens, it produces a pleasant sound of flowing water that accompanies after-dinner conversations and moments of relaxation.
There are also two ponds with various colorful fish that often pique the curiosity of the little ones. In one of them, the fish hide under an old millstone until it’s time to feed them, while the other, larger pond is connected to the Japanese fountain.
These are small details that make this corner one of the most special spots on the estate.
Why do our guests remember this place?
Interestingly, most guests who stay at CasAnosa don’t remember the barbecue just for the meals.
They remember it for everything that happens around it.
Many of our guests tell us the same thing when they leave:
“We thought we’d spend most of our time inside the house… but in the end, we spent almost all our time here.”
We’re not surprised.

A place where you can connect with nature
There’s one detail that many guests discover during their stay that doesn’t usually show up in the photos.
For years now, a pair of swallows has returned every spring to reuse their nest on the barbecue and raise their chicks there.
While some guests prepare the grill, others relax on the sofas, or children watch the fish in the pond, it’s common to see the swallows flying in and out constantly, feeding their young.
Alongside them, other small birds frequent the garden, turning this space into a spot full of life and tranquility.
It’s these little details—impossible to plan for—that make many guests remember the barbecue area as much more than just a place to cook.
